Out of the Loop

I guess when you get out of this blogging loop, you're out. I have no comments, no feedback to my thoughts, but I guess this is what a blog is- my thoughts, my inner turmoil, my life. For a while it seemed like a popularity contest, but now it is my thoughts alone. I respect and love those that are in my not network, but I feel left out. I can only have so many hours in a day to work and practice and sit like a lump in front of the T.V..I still follow Rachel as daily as I can and I know long before Pete began his blog I was there. I always loved Pete Townshends music and always will. I know that the friends I have made in some oblique way are there too, but I feel somewhat shunned. Life as a blogger. My mind, God and computers

Driving home the other day and watching the cars all travel their intricate little patterns in and around each other it got me to really wonder how a God of any sort could possibly ever "watch over us all". Thinking of Pete Townshends blog that he is posting about the ether and the furthering of the internet in the future, and my rudimentary knowledge of astronomy, how lost we truly are in the vastness of the Universe. Well what the hell is my point? I, for a brief second-I'm sure others that are a little more self aware have these moments-almost saw the connection as how easy it would be for a higher power to so easily, for lack of better words, Be With Us. Now the analogy is, we use computers and the internet as a huge tool to explore the vastness of the ether we are creating and see it grow everyday. And I mean grow! How many new thoughts, ideas, music, porn,etc. are added to the vast system that we only dreamed of 20 YEARS ago. So as we stumble into the infancy of something we are just learning, imagine a power, being, oneness, etc. that is a million or a hundred million years old or a billion or older. You can't. We live- on a good day- 100 years os so. The U.S.A. is 230 years old. That is even a drop in the bucket compared to age of other coutries of our planet. So- once again- the point--Is it not as easily possible for another entity to have knowledge that we can't imagine, looking at the 6 billion of us as we use a computer to do computations in a millisecond that are as intricate as the movement of a planet of living creatures. If you read this and understand it, Bravo! I get in my little moods like this when I try to sort out our place sometimes. Have a Good Night.

Snow and my computer

I know it's not the snow(which we had a pile of) but my computer is running like crap today. Tried to download a song to make an mp3, but I need a new program. I think this will be fun once I get one. Lots of my weird music can then be thrown into the ether. The band is concentrating on our original music for a while until we have enough for a CD, then we can learn the covers to get in the clubs. Not a bad idea, not in that much of a rush and I think it will help us as a band. Lots of stuff going on. Have a nice day!

New York

Off in the morning to New York. Our fireworks store in Matamoras Pa. is slowly coming along. Slowly....Permits for this, permits for that, permits to get a permit. The time involved in building something sometimes pales to the time it takes for someone to let you build it.Well I have to meet with some radio station ad people tomorrow and try and get some rates for some different stations. I'm not that experienced with dealing with business people. I often don't have to in my regular job, or it's just with a bar owner over club dates in a band. Went out and bought a new set of casual clothes, kind of weird but I at least want to have a half decent first impression and a bit of professionalism.
Finally got a couple tracks laid down for my music so I can present it to the band. Hope it works out O.K. and we can make something with it. We set the end of Feb. as a date to go and record whatever we have, should be at least 5 or six songs. We can use them to replace what's on our myspace site right now. Some of the same songs only with me on guitar. Well must keep at it tonight-practice and packing and going to New York. Yeh!!!!

Intimidated

I actually get intimidated about what YOU all think. That's YOU. anyone who comes across my space on the net.Am I a dirtbag, am I uneducated, am I a drug addict? I am a Pete Townshend fan. I am a musician who is seeking more than I can find by myself.Sometimes I get embarrassed by what I write. WHY? I guess that is from my life. My experiences. Not being a Greek God and having to struggle with my personal imperfections has always held me.BACK. Only those who have this can relate. I often relate to Pete Townshend as he was someone who overcame obstacles in life to truly become a genius. If you know anything of music and truly listen to his work- he is a genius. Maybe not Mozart, but close. So thank you all, a couple in particular.If you understand this you will know where my thoughts are and you are the ones to be close to TBWHM.and music. Life is TRULY way to short for the endless battles we percieve that exist.We are one. We can be one. Don't let go the coat(P.T.)

Decisions Part 2

Have to still come to some terms with some thoughts and feelings about my home situation. Will go to band practice tonight see how we're doing. Not one to run away but not one to get others into my thoughts that aren't producing a clear and clean results. I'll be back after practice. Just got back from touring our new store site. Lots of work yet to do. No rain would help us.
